Thanksgiving Tree Printable

Wow! It has been a long time since I posted any printable or posted at all. In case you were wondering I am alive and well! Just really busy with home life and this year the new activity around here is HOMESCHOOL. So forgive me if my posting is sporadic.

I made this Thanksgiving tree printable and wanted to share it with all of you. I found this awesome tree graphic at a blog called STROOPWOFFLE Check them out they have the tree file you can print.

I used my sizzix to cut out the leaves but in case you have no way of making leaves here are some you can cut out.

Click on the printable you want. Then when it opens in a new window right click it. Save it to your desktop. Then right click it on your desktop and choose open with windows photo gallery. Choose print at the top middle of the screen then choose size be sure to un-check the "fit picture to frame box" and print. I hope this makes it easier for you to print..

Where Were You?

As we remember the 10 year anniversary of the attacks on 9-11-2001 today. I can not help but remember where I was.

Where were you?

I was at home with a 1month old and a 1 1/2 year old. My mom called me and asked if I had been watching the TV? My answer was of course. I mean after all who doesn't have a little veggie tales to keep the lil ones occupied? When she told me to turn on the news. I knew something was terribly wrong. I remember looking at my kids and thinking what next. Was this going to start a war on our soil? How many people would die? After the fear and shock I just wanted to be with family.
I am proud of how Americans came together after 9-11.

I know I have been MIA from my blog lately. Life has been a blur. On today I just wanted to make sure everyone remembers the victims and the survivors & America who shall forever be affected. Pray for peace in their hearts and homes. God bless you all today and everyday.

Never stop telling people where you were! Keep the memories of 9-11 alive. This is something that makes America stronger.

My New Pantry & Labels

With all the beautiful pantries out there in blog land I decided to jazz my cupboards up too.

This is a little cabinet my Hubby painted and fixed up for me for Christmes I filled it with my Kitchen ware and some food.

This cabinet is cute but it was a little small for some of my items.

I moved another pantry cabinet from my garage into the dining area for more storage.

I filled jars with my bulk foods and pantry must haves.

They looked a bit plain so I used some of the silhouette vinyl in black and made pretties for the jars.

It fits so much nicer in this cabinet. Before I had to separate all the parts but now they all fit on one shelf.

I love the new space and now I am off to make more labels! I think they turned out so pretty!

Get your moneys worth at the gas pump

I received and email today with these ideas on how to save a little cash at the pumps. I thought it made sense so I am passing it on to you all.

I don't know what you guys are paying for gasoline.... but here in California we are paying up to $3.75 to $4.10 per gallon. My line of work is in petroleum for about 31 years now, so here are some tricks to get more of your money's worth for every gallon:

Only buy or fill up your car or truck in the early morning when the ground temperature is still cold. Remember that all service stations have their storage tanks buried below ground. The colder the ground the more dense the gasoline, when it gets warmer gasoline expands, so buying in the afternoon or in the evening....your gallon is not exactly a gallon. In the petroleum business, the specific gravity and the temperature of the gasoline, diesel and jet fuel, ethanol and other petroleum products plays an important role.

A 1-degree rise in temperature is a big deal for this business. But the service stations do not have temperature compensation at the pumps.

When you're filling up do not squeeze the trigger of the nozzle to a fast mode If you look you will see that the trigger has three (3) stages: low, middle, and high. You should be pumping on low mode, thereby minimizing the vapors that are created while you are pumping. All hoses at the pump have a vapor return. If you are pumping on the fast rate, some of the liquid that goes to your tank becomes vapor. Those vapors are being sucked up and back into the underground storage tank so you're getting less worth for your money.

One of the most important tips is to fill up when your gas tank is HALF FULL. The reason for this is the more gas you have in your tank the less air occupying its empty space. Gasoline evaporates faster than you can imagine. Gasoline storage tanks have an internal floating roof. This roof serves as zero clearance between the gas and the atmosphere, so it minimizes the evaporation. Unlike service stations, here where I work, every truck that we load is temperature compensated so that every gallon is actually the exact amount.

Another reminder, if there is a gasoline truck pumping into the storage tanks when you stop to buy gas, DO NOT fill up; most likely the gasoline is being stirred up as the gas is being delivered, and you might pick up some of the dirt that normally settles on the bottom.

Easy Home Made Bread

Oh I know! It looks super Yummy Right? Well it is Super easy which is why for me it is even yummier!

I wanted to share with all you because you can make this bread too!

Bread Recipe:

9 ounces of Warm water

2 tsp Active Dry Yeast

2 TBSP of dry milk

2 TBSP sugar

1 1/2 tsp salt

1 TBSP Olive Oil (I use peanut oil)

3 cups of bread flour

I use my Kitchen Aid mixer with the dough hook just add ingredients to mixer in listed order pausing for about 5-10 minutes after the yeast is in. Then add remaining ingredients. I knead with the dough hook for about 8-10 minutes on low speed then remove hook and cover with towel and leave to rise. After the dough has risen to double its size punch it down and form into greased loaf pan. Allow to rise about an hour and then bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes depending on your oven.

After you are done kneading the dough in your mixer form it into a greased loaf pan and let rise for about an hour in a warm spot and place in oven. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes

Actual handling time on this is about 5 minutes that's what I call a quick n easy recipe!

Choose the Writing Vinyl Wall Art

I promised a pretty post this week here it is!

About a month ago I won the Choose the Writing giveaway over at The Girl Creative. I did not want to mention it till I had the vinyl and had it up so I could show you all!

I knew I wanted a vinyl scripture verse for the wall above the T.V.

I just had to find the right one. Marni who has the blog

Sassy Sites! was super helpful and super sweet! Once i had the verse I wanted I explained I also wanted a star to be next to the vinyl. She did a couple examples for me to look at and I found the perfect set up. I was so excited when I got it in the mail.

This is what it looked like. She sent directions and a paper sample of the vinyl layout for my reference when putting it up on the wall. Both were very helpful.

Finished Product! Looks AMAZING! See! My star fits perfectly!

Marni is taking a break from the vinyl business (Bummer!) but her blog is in full swing!

#10 Vacuum up the estimated 10 gallons of water from the floor.

Yes, I flooded my bathroom tonight. Oh no, not just a little water. There was about a half inch of water on the floor. The only lucky thing is the floor is obviously not level so it had only gotten about 8 inches into the carpet in the room. Lets just say tonight was not the most relaxing evening I have had.

I would like to say a BIG thanks to the worlds best Hubby. He did not get mad at me. He just got the shop vac and let me clean the most of the mess up then helped me.

I think I will stop complaining about him getting the floor wet after his showers. I may even forget about him leaving the toilet seat up! (for a little while)

Mystery, detective, book birthday.

Well we had Sunshine's party and the kids all had so much fun! First we ate then and watched a bit of the Nancy Drew movie. then we played games. One game was where they had to decode a secret message. I gave them a key that had symbols matched with letters then they got a sheet of paper with the message written in symbols. These are some pretty smart kids they decoded rather fast.

We played a game where I had pieces of paper in balloons they had to pop the balloons then put the pieces together like a puzzle to reveal a giant fingerprint.

It is kinda hard to pop balloons by sitting on them if you don't hold them down. Guess the kids did not like the loud popping.

Did you see me in the top left corner? Did I mention I am afraid of balloons?? Yeah! Who's the dummy that came up with the game? ME!

For the next game I gave the kids a paper with numbers on it and they had to use the birthday banner to get the letters and unscramble them to make a word.

I used 10-3-15-4-11

Unscrambled it was PARTY!

Then it was time for cake.

I forgot to take a photo of the cake when it was cut. I made it 3 layers there was green then chocolate then blue.

We had blue and green candy and drinks.

Here is just a jumble of photos so you can get an idea.

the white stuff is just white cotton candy in muffin liners.

The kids each got a detective notebook.

Sunshine's lava lamp fit right in!

Next time I will remember to iron the backdrop!

Note to self wrinkles look BAD in photos!

I used two vases for the drinks.

The best part is that Sunshine had a great time!

She even matched her party.

My beautiful daughter is growing up.

Birthday Dcorating With Books

Did I mention Sunshine LOVES books!

These are just a few of the ones she owns

We did a little decorating for her birthday with some hard cover books. I purchased some nice big books at the thrift store for .25cents each.

I felt kinda guilty taking reading material from others because these are novels I will never read. In fact my Uncle took a gander at one and let me know I was probably lucky none of the kids at the party read it. Guess it was a bit "steamy". So maybe next time I will look a little closer before purchase. These were not the best reading material for 10 and 11 year old's but they made good props!

We used the same green and blue spray paint that was used for the 3 tiered platter.

We piled the books up and used them to place items on.

For our Family party we put the cake on the books. I think it really turned out cute.

Birthday Party Invitations

This an genus Idea which I can not claim as my own. I saw the idea over at My Insanity. Kendra made these amazing invites Check them out {HERE}

I used a photo of Sunshine I had and made my

own book invitation.

I took a photo of a actual Nancy Drew book and worked with it. I made it book #11 because Sunshine was turning 11.

I kept the back looking realistic with the bar code and price. Then I replaced Nancy Drew with Sunshine Dahl.

On the inside I printed the party information very small and each child received a magnifying glass to read it with.

They were inexpensive and they were a hit with the kids and parents! Thanks for the idea Kendra!

My Red White & Blue Blankie

I am sure you all have some items that are special to you or bring back memories of the days gone by. This blanket is one of those to me.

When Joe and I were dating we would sit at my parents house and cut out pieces of fabric one at a time. I had found a quilt pattern I was excited about and as we were just dating he agreed to help cut fabric.

(I am thinking he would say no to the fabric cutting now.) Seems like we sure do a lot to be with each other when we are dating but after 12+ years of marriage not so much of me watching him work on cars or him playing quilter!

Maybe it is just mostly not having the time for each other like we used to. We do have two children who like our attention.

First let me show you our inspiration. Sunshine found these at the Dollar tree and we decided to use these for our inspiration colors. Sunshines favorite color is green.

My Simple Valentines Mantel

I added a wreath to my printables and pulled my red Pottery Barn lanterns out of storage to complete my simple mantel.

I used my Printables

added my banner

grabbed a decorative piece and the red pottery barn lanterns.

I used scrapbook paper and a white bandanna to make the flowers. I cut the paper and fabric with my sizzix die cut machine then just scrunched up the middle and stapled them.

Now I am trying to get everything together for Sunshines Birthday. I received some great ideas from a few fellow bloggers. Sunshine LOVES books and LOVES mysteries so she is going to have a Mystery Book party! Stay tuned for the progress on the party.

So money is a little tight and Sunshine turns 11 on the 4th.

While the Garage is a mess and it is hard to get my crafting stuff out I have been playing around with my computer programs. I really like scripture art and so I made two more prints.

This one is Love with the verse John 3 1-3 behind it.

Then Faith with 1 Corinthians 13 4-7 on it.
I made printables for you and this time I made a color variation.

The Faith and Love are semi transparent so you can see the writing under them.

I can see the yellow and Blue in a nice Summer theme with sea shells and candles.

Just click on the photo of the one you like and save it to your computer then you can re-size it to what ever you need and print!

CostcoKirkland brand VS National Brand.

Okay so I have noticed for a while at Costco that the National brands are slowly being replaced by the Costco brand Kirkland. Am I the only one?? I started using Costco because I was able to get national brands in bulk for good prices. Slowly Kirkland brand has been creeping in.

First Vitamins and asprin. Then frozen fruits and veggies. Photo paper Kirkland brand??

The one that really got me was the replacement of the Lady Hathaway brand tanks. I love these! I own way too many I use them under almost all my low neck shirts. Now they make Kirkland tanks with a build in bra. I may be the only one but built in bra tanks DON'T Fit me! I am a natural girl two babies later these puppies don't stand alone if you catch my drift. Built in bras make me look like I have a uni-boob! (Too Much Info I know) This replacement really chapped my hide!

Now you can't even get canned corn, beans, chicken, frozen veggies or bacon bits in a National brand. Kirkland Canned corn??

I may be having a tantrum but I am just wondering if I am the only one who noticed this. Now I pay a Costco membership to buy Kirkland products. I feel like it is a bait and slow switch.

Whats your opinion?? Are you getting what you pay for??

Valentine Banner Printable

I am slowly but surely adding to my Valentines decor. My newest addition is this cute banner.

I thought it was cute but I wanted it to have bit more of an impact. So I decided to layer some other papers.

I cut the same shape only in two bigger sizes with different color papers.

I gathered some rhinestones, buttons, stickers, paperclips and yarns to embellish the new banner.

Much Better! It really stands out now.

And yes of course I have the printable so you can make your own banner too! As always just click on the picture to get the full size then save to your desktop.

Boys Just Wanna Craft Fun!

Okay I am sure some of you women have men in your lives that like to craft stuff. My brother can craft, my hubby not so much! (he is artistic and has ability but "crafting" no)While we were making our

Christmas countdown clipboards Hubby just slept on the couch then went out side to do "MAN STUFF". When our friends Josia and Tara came over Josia started messing around with the papers and decided to "build" a house for his wife.

Josia was really into the construction. He built this very vibrant home with lovely argyle window shutters.

Cute huh?

I guess this got my hubby interested so he decided to make his take on Christmas decor. He chose to make a Christmas tree and wanted everyone to know how to cut one down too.

He even made it orange like the one he has. To make it more authentic looking he added black glitter for the chain.

Christmas Mantle

Finally 3 days before Christmas I managed to get my mantle decorated. I went simple this year.

Pardon the photos. It looked really great in real life.

I made the wreath with some extra decorations I had from the Christmas tea this year.

I purchased the lamps from K-Mart and filled them with tiny ornaments. I usually have a star above my mantle so I just changed it to a blue one.

These lanterns are functional. After Christmas I will remove the ornaments they are oil lamps and they will be nice when the power goes out.

Yes a really bad photo. I know. I purchased these three Santas a few years ago at the Dollar tree and I LOVE them. I used some battery operated lights I bought at IKEA and stick them in to the Santas. They give a really nice effect in person.

Next year I will do more decorating but this year it seems like Christmas just came too early!

Christmas Project Fun!

Last year I mentioned that every Thanksgiving we do a Christmas Project together. Last year we made the ornament wreaths and this year we made clipboard countdown to Christmas. I saw the idea over at

Christmas Card for 2010

I have been trying to get a Christmas card made so I can send it out before Christmas. Ha Ha Good luck I know! I seem to never get them done in time. One year I made a New Year card because I was so late. Here is the card I made a couple years ago. The babies were so little!

This is what I have come up with so far this year.

Still not too sure I love it. Yes those are my children in a cattle squeeze. Yes, we may live on a little ranch but No, they have not been branded! Although there are times I may think it a good idea!

It all started like any other night. I finally went to bed around 11:30. But then I laid there and played games on the iphone. Not able to sleep I decided to get up at around 1:45am and do a little laundry. Having to walk through the office to get to the laundry room I saw the computer. It called out to me, "Tara check your google reader and email maybe even some meaningless searching for swagbucks!" Well I was not about to fall for that old trick of getting on the computer and staying up all night!(well the rest of the night) SO I just shuffled right on by with the laundry. Ha Ha I showed the computer who's boss! Well then on the way back this crazy thing happened. I found myself in the office chair sitting in front of the computer with the mouse in my hand! Really! So I decided since I was already sitting here I would look at my Google Reader. I noticed a few Silhouette winners being announced on a few blogs and to my surprise I saw the name Tara at Just a Girl. Well not to get too carried away I figured it was another Tara Because I have noticed a lot of us in Blogland lately! Well then scrolling down I saw my blog header! Then I peed my pants! okay not really but I could have! Well if I tried. Okay maybe not but I was EXCITED! Thank You so much Chris!

I wanted to wish you all a wonderful Thanksgiving! I hope you all have much to be thankful this year. I wanted to share two things I am thankful for. We were up late baking and getting ready for the Thanksgiving Dinner tomorrow and while waiting for the bread to rise I could hear Sunshine in the other room.

She was reading out loud one of Moonshines favorite books to him.

These are the moments I treasure! You know the moments where they are not fullon UFC wrestling in the living room or nagging each other.

Fairy Birthday Food n Fun

The Fairy Party was great fun! We had a lot of fun making the theme food too! We had egg mushrooms they were hard boiled eggs with half a roma tomato on top sprinkled with feta cheese. We made Mushroom cake bites that were soooo cute and yummy too. Granola was called pixie pebbles, we had woodland Strawberry Magicaide, Fairy berries, mixed Forest Nuts, Marshmallow on sticks were Pixie Puffs. Carri did a great job with the fun names.

The party gift boxes were super cute with the glittery dots and al the fun stuff inside.

I made a printable banner for Kylee.

We hung woodland wreaths and mason jars with tea lights.

This is what the centerpiece looked like.

Sunshine dressed up like a fairy.

The mushrooms were cookies Carri made. People thought they were real Mushrooms. I hope you are inspired to make your own Woodland Fairy party. It was a blast!

Fairy Birthday Party Invitations

I wanted to show you some of the things I have been up to. My Friend Carri was having a Fairy Birthday for her daughter and I was lucky enough to help her design them. We used Microsoft Publisher and found some cute fairy and mushroom graphics.

We originally made them 5x7 but Walgreens was having a special on photo printing for 4x6 so we had 25 printed for only $3.50. We wanted to make them a little special so we added glitter and a 3D butterfly to each. It really made them super cute!

To make The butterflies all you need is paper a punch and glue

Punch out two of your design. If you want to try it with another shape it would be super cute too.

Add glue to the bottom punch out. Then add the other punch out on top

Fold up the top punch out and there you have a 3D Butterfly! Sorry the pictures are not great but I hope you get the idea.

Now repeat for as many as you need! I needed 25 so it took me a while. It was fun and they really added a nice touch to the invites.

School Starts Monday!

Looking around blog land I see school started already for a lot of you. Thankfully I had an extra couple weeks to prepare. The other good thing about starting later is I get to see all the cool ideas everyone comes up with! I saw this Calculator Teacher gift Idea over at eighteen25.

They found a Giant calculator and it turned out great! I am sure there are some happy teachers at their kids schools!

I created my own version using smaller calculators I found at the Dollar Store.

We also bought some pencils, crayons and colored pencils to give to the teachers.

They turned out cute but I think the jumbo calculators would have made a BIGGER statement.

We changed the message a little for each teacher.

We are back from our wonderful trip to Montana. We had a great time and my Moonshine even turned 9 while we were there. We drove straight through to get home so 19 hours later we made it. I am still trying to recover. Working on the garage still and trying to get it done before the kids have to go back to school. Here is a printable I made because I missed my Hubby while I was gone. Long Drive & Save The Date Cards

I woke up at 4am packed up the last of what we needed for the trip, picked up my mom, Met Hubby at the gas station for the stuff I forgot and was leaving town at 5am. Really not bad for a NON-MORNING person. Miraculously 10 hours later we were in Salt Lake City! the drive went really well and I have to brag that I drove the whole way! I will be having my mom drive some tomorrow. Well enough about me lets talk save the date.

I had the honor of helping my niece Becca design her save the date cards for her wedding. She wanted something not too fancy and she requested brown, turquoise and sunflowers. Here is what we decided on.

I think they turned out super great! It is crazy to even think about this little(okay 20year old) girl getting married just 12 years ago she was a flower girl in my wedding. Sweet as can be walking down my isle now she will be walking down one of her own. Dang! I feel old.

I think Save the Date cards are a cute idea to let people know ahead of time. Ya know to save up money for the wedding present! HA HA!

My Almost Done Organization

I promise to take better pictures after it is all done Hubby has to get self leveling hinges and then he will finish with the doors. Then I need a to get some kind of bin for the cubbies.

Seriously I am married to the best man ever! I drive him crazy and he still builds me stuff! Tell you what he made a mistake building me a house because now I know what he can do! There is no end to what I can think of for him to make. (evil laugh)

I moved my pantry's to the other side of the garage and I think they look great! Just pay no attention to the junk on either side. Eventually it will look BOMB! (oh yeah Sista a little ghetto commin' out!)

And if you saw earlier I mentioned couches here is a sneak peak!

Really they will look BOMB when they are in the room. Just you wait!

Okay need to leave really early to start my drive so I am off to bed and hopefully I will be able to sleep. I hate those "big trip in the morning cant sleep a wink" nights.

Vanilla Wafers to Die For!

Hey there everyone! I have been super busy the last two weeks running like a chicken with my head cut off. The kids my Mom & I will be leaving Saturday morning heading to Montana. We are going to visit my Aunt. I am having a hard time because my Hubby is not able to take time off work to go. I mean a family vacation should include the Head of the home. Right?

I set the hubby up though. I made him some whole wheat bread, some rosemary bread, banana bread, chocolate chip muffins, two pans of Lasagna and Sunshine made Homemade whole wheat Vanilla Wafers. I guess with all those carbs I am kinda hoping he will finally weigh more than me! (A girl can dream can't she?)

Well back to the vanilla wafers! These are amazing! I found the RECIPE at Heavenly Homemakers. Laura has a great blog she is the mother of 4 boys! Seriously I can't keep up with only 2 kiddos. I don't know how she does it.

Okay really you need to try this recipe! I had to shorten the recommended cooking time but everything else was flawless for me. We really do eat a whole tray before they even get in the cookie jar.

My Organization system is almost done. We just need to get different hinges and baskets for the cubbies and it will be complete! I will post almost done photos tomorrow! We are so close and my hubby has done a wonderful job building it.

While the Garage is a mess and it is hard to get my crafting stuff out I have been playing around with my computer programs. I really like scripture art and so I made two more prints.

This one is Love with the verse John 3 1-3 behind it.

Then Faith with 1 Corinthians 13 4-7 on it.
I made printables for you and this time I made a color variation.

The Faith and Love are semi transparent so you can see the writing under them.

I can see the yellow and Blue in a nice Summer theme with sea shells and candles.

California Fires

I live in Tehachapi Ca. and it is the site of the West Fire. We are thankful that the fire is on the other side of the valley but there are families that have lost it all.

“I lost it all and some of my animals died,” said weary, red-eyed George Plesko at the evacuation center. “Mine’s burnt to the ground. I watched my 5,000 gallon tank burst open. I watched my house, my barn, my doolie trucks burn to the ground. I got out of there.”

We are on the list to take horses, cattle or any animal that needs pasture. Unfortunately we cannot do much monetarily so we are offering what we can. We are blessed that the Red Cross was on scene quickly and has shelter set up for the evacuees. The fire crews came quickly as well and there are currently 800 fire personnel on scene.

Please pray for the people who have lost homes and pray protection over the firefighters and all involved.

My Hubby works for a local water district and was called to open some dip tanks yesterday and was awestruck at the devastation. Sunshine cried when she heard and Moonshine offered to give his legos to the families.

This is not the only fire in Kern County There is also the Bull fire which has burned 15,982 acres so far.

As far as we know no one has been killed in either fire and pray that it stays that way.

I know this is not a usual post for me but I felt it important to post.

Flower Headband Cuz Everyone's doin it!

Okay finally yesterday Sunshine and I decided to get in on the fabric flower makin' trend. I was inspired by the pink knit comfy pants I had. I made them into shorts and had the leg part left. Not wanting to just throw it away I thought about the flowers I had been seeing all over the net. I saw in my reader that a blog I follow called Infarrantly Creative (who just so happened to like my Scripture Art) had shown that Oopsey Daisy had compiled a list of flower tutorials from all over the blog world Check it out HERE. So I don't remember which one I looked at first but I got the general idea and we started rolling and twisting.

Sunshine had some buttons and shiny stuff in her sewing box so we added them and took her Dollar Tree headband and glued them on.

Love the pink with the green fabric of the headband.

Organization part 4

So I must say we have been a little busy this week. On the weekend we Went to Disneyland then Hung out at the Beach with my Brother and Sis in law. The Kids have had VBS all week and I need a nap! My wonderful Hubby has a full time job then he also runs his own equipment business. In the afternoons he works sometimes till dark. He is a busy guy.

On top of all that he is a great Dad a wonderful Husband and now working at being a storage solution builder.

He has all the pieces perilously balanced up so he can paint them.

I am getting super excited because they are looking great!

Oh yeah there is the whole mess in the garage to clean first! It may take a little longer than planned.

I was so excited when I stopped in the thrift store today and saw a complete set of Bible Story books. They were in perfect condition and they remind me of summers when I would visit my Grandparents. My Grand mother would read to us sometimes before bed or throughout the day. She had the set of these books and I am sure one of my Aunts has them now. Hard back books are a $1 each but the girl decided to ask because she said childrens books were .25 cents each. The nice lady that came back with her said that it was Gods word and she did not feel right charging for them. So I took all 10 with me and left a $5.00 donation. She was happy I was happy and my kids are excited to start reading them. We all won!

I also found this bamboo shaped green vase in another store for .25 cents. I love the color and will be adding it to my small collection.

I have been wanting some scripture around the house and had another cabinet door sample so I started working on it last night. To see what I did with the last cabinet door

A Week of Firsts

Okay I feel like the biggest baby on earth! My wonderful Brother and his wife asked to take Sunshine for the week. My Bro works at Girls Inc. it is a wonderful place that "Inspires all girls to be Strong, Smart and Bold" that is their motto. If you have girls they may like the Girls inc Web site with games, stories and such HERE.
Okay it is kinda funny to see him in a shirt that says Girls Inc on the front and be strong, smart and bold on the back. ha ha ha! Well that is neither here nor there back to the point. Sunshine is my girl my pretty, beautiful, smart and always with me girl. She is gone! For the whole WEEK! I don't know how I let this happen. I had a little healthy bouncing baby girl and next thing I know she is 10 and gone for a week. Needless to say I have to drink a lot of PEPSI to deal with this situation.

At least I still have Moonshine home with me. Well until today! My Bro in law called last night and asked if Moonshine would like to go fishing. Seriously the nerve of family members! Cant he see I am feeling lonely enough already! Of course Moonshine was so excited! He has never been fishing and has wanted too for a long time. I told him

~~it would break his mommas heart if he left me too~~ NO I told him I was so excited for him (and wiped the tears from my eyes)

Hubby said I should be glad and moms always want time alone. Then he winked and said, "I am still here and no one else is" okay we all know where he was going with that! I explained how I was now super excited to be alone and could he please go to work so I could bask in my aloneness!

So that is me just here with my computer, Beth Moores book So Long Insecurity, my dog snoring in my lap and a 24 pack of PEPSI! (things are looking up!)

Organization Part 3

Okay so here is where we are in our building situation. All the pieces are put together and wood putty has been applied.

All made waiting for wood putty and backs.

This one will have doors. Don't look too closly I am not that great at the putty part.

Doors hubby made. Poor hubby after he was finished he realized it would have been a good idea to staple from the back! Oh well just more wood putty.

Our friend was married this past Saturday. I wanted to buy something that he wanted that was on the registry but I also wanted to make a personal gift. Josia is French and I found this great graphic on the Graphics Fairy

Is this not great? I love the colors. Karen also has it for you in black on her site. You can check it out here
I also found a picture of the Eiffel Tower on Google.
After I put the graphics together it looked like this.

I printed it out to make sure it fit the frame I had chosen then when I liked it I printed it on a off white linen like paper.
Here it is in my .75 cent frame.

I really liked how it turned out and it was simple, easy and CHEAP!

I hope they love it because I want to make more I like it so much.
