So money is a little tight and Sunshine turns 11 on the 4th.
a self taken photo. She loves cameras.
She would like to invite a few friends and we will have the family too but I need to make it a budget friendly party. I was thinking Bunco for the kids. They could play it with 8 instead of 12. Not sure. I have been scouring the internet for ideas but thought I would see if any of you lovelees had any inspirational ideas!
Any idea helps.
Any ideas???

Not sure what you usually do...here are some ideas....movie night, cheap...rent a DVD from the library or video store...make popcorn, put into paper bags and serve soda or punch.....game night, you could do BINGO with prizes...little dollar store items....PJ (daytime) party...girls all dress in their PJ's...eat pizza, do their hair, nails....does she like sports or have a hobby? You can focus around that? If you give me something to go on, I can come up with a TON of FREE or close to FREE stuff to decorate with and do... 8)
ReplyDeleteI don't know anything about Bunco, Tara, but what about a book theme? You could do a one layer rectangular cake and decorate it to look like her favorite book. That's all I got!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog Tara....book theme would be easy! You must have a lot of books! Layer them around, stacking them up....tie balloons to string and hang upside down from the ceiling so it looks like they are coming down at you...no helium required! You can do a scavenger hunt and put clues into books....book cake....or take a specific book and decorate/theme from that.
ReplyDeleteAlso, are there any used book stores around you? A lot of them will do a party at their store for you...cheap!
I made a pinata for my son's birthday that was a big hit with the kids..tutorial is on my blog and cake pops!
ReplyDeleteHave fun!!
I think the best parties are always the "homemade" ones. The themse I like best from my childhood were always an old fashioned sleep over and movie night...simple!
