Pennies to Priceless

Our friend was married this past Saturday.  I wanted to buy something that he wanted that was on the registry but I also wanted to make a personal gift.  Josia is French and I found this great graphic on the Graphics Fairy
Is this not great?  I love the colors.  Karen also has it for you in black on her site.  You can check it out here
I also found a picture of the Eiffel Tower on Google.
After I put the graphics together it looked like this.
I printed it out to make sure it fit the frame I had chosen then when I liked it I printed it on a off white linen like paper.
Here it is in my .75 cent frame.
I really liked how it turned out and it was simple, easy and CHEAP!

I hope they love it because I want to make more I like it so much.

ONLY .75 Cents!

What have you made lately?

  2. This is so awesome! While I appreciate all the gifts I did get from my registry, going on 19 years later it's the ones that were not from it that I can walk around our home and name the giver. I'm not sure I fully appreciated them at the time or at least not nearly the way I do now. I'm sure your friends will treasure this forever.

  3. I LOVE this, Tara! You put everything together so nicely and I'll bet it's their favorite gift. {Well, except for the money}. Except for the money, I'll bet this is their favorite gift! ; )

I would love to make one of these for my daughter. She got married at the town hall a couple of weeks ago {for the baby, you know} and they haven't done anything; they want to do a real reception next year. I think it would be nice to give them something with their new last name! You wouldn't want to share how you actually put the graphics and the name all together and got it to look like this ~ would you?

P.S. I used one of those tassels you sent on for a project I am making for the baby. As soon as my brain gets unstuck so I can decorate it more, I'll show it off. I never would have thought of the idea either if you hadn't sent the tassels!

  5. Wow, I like it too. Thanks for sharing the sources on the graphics. What a beautiful present. You wouldn't even have to be a bride to love receiving this gift. You could give it for any occassion. Fantastic!

  6. Kathy,
I use Microsoft Publisher for my graphics. I gather the graphics I love and place them where I want them. I use the washout feature if I plan on using text on top. I would be glad to help you further. I will email you.
